100th Anniversary Fund & Monument 1927-2027
The Time Has Come. Let’s Make an Impact!
Camp Sequassen has been a home for scouts for an incredible 100 years!
Help us in: Creating a lasting memorial dedicated to the first 100 years of camp, While giving to those that will walk these trails after us.
1. Our commemorative monument will be our gift to the camp.
The monument will stand tall and strong, made from solid Granite. It is intended to display the dates 1927 and 2027 marking Camp Sequassen’s first 100 years. The monument will be inscribed with the camp CS logo and slogans that have become part of the Sequassen’s traditions and lure. Finally, it will display the names of all of the individuals, families and troops that were a part of the 100th Anniversary Fundraiser. Names will be prominently displayed for future generations capturing a glimpse of those in Sequassen’s first centennial. Donations can be made in honor/memory of Individuals, Families or Troops.
2. Donations will result in the creation of a 100th Anniversary Fund that will be our gift to the future.
The 100th Anniversary Fund will be a unique fund created to support scouts of Camp Sequassen for many years to come. The interest earned from the fund will allow it to grow with time creating a lasting shuttle for continued financial support. Distributions will be used to create camperships and other means to support scouts for future generations.
Ledge Campsite Renovations
What:
We want to:
- Replace all lean-tos
- Remove diseased and damaged trees
- Regrade campsite
- Rebuild fire pit
- Centralize the campsite’s experience
How: Ranger Dave will put his breath of knowledge in renovation campsites to renovate Ledge. In the past few years he has renovated Nathan Hale, Jerome, and Loyalty. He will use this experience to re-image this loved campsite.
When: Camp Sequassen is blessed to be experiencing large investments into its facilities. If we are able to raise the required funds to renovate Ledge Campsite we hope to get it renovated in 2025, 2026, or 2027.
Our Goal Is To Raise $30,000
To cover the cost of replacing the existing lean-tos, do the ground work, and buy other material it is estimated it will cost about $30,000 to renovate Ledge Campsite.
Donation Tiers
- Tier 1: $250 – Reward: Name on campsite renovation plaque
- Tier 2: $5,000 – Reward: Lean-to plaque
Summer Camp Camperships
Every year the Sequassen Alumni Association gives out 3 camperships.
- The Chief Bogan Scholarship given out based off of the merit of the Scout.
- The Laurel Leaf Campership given out based off of the financial need of the Scout.
- The SAA Founders Award given out based off of the financial need of the Scout.
If you wish to learn more about these awards please see our camperships page. These camperships are funded by the fundraising efforts of the Sequassen Alumni Association. Please consider supporting Scouts attending Camp Sequassen.
In addition to these camperships if a donor funds an entire campership the SAA will provide additional camperships on a year to year basis in honor of the donor if they so choose.
